About the show: “A mother, a daughter, a nation. Unclaimable is an original musical reimagination of historical events chronicling one woman’s journey to become the Queen of foreign barbarians in Southeast Asia, 1801. Above all, Unclaimable is one young woman’s true story to find her family.
In a time when women have no rights, let alone influence, one woman defies the odds and elevates herself from a gambling house and brothel to build a pirate alliance over 60 thousand citizens strong. Her story balances ambition and responsibility as she resists a hostile government, foreign interlopers, and a misogynistic patriarchal society."
