Quantum Desire

in co-production with Inferno Theatre

Quantum Desire, by Giulio Cesare Perrone explores the relationship between human desire and cutting edge ideas in contested new territories of science and quantum theory which affect our most intimate relationships. It’s love at first sight: a ripple effect that widens until it touches everything around us.

Characters spin around each other like atomic particles that can never stop and settle. They must keep moving to maintain their balance. As they begin to interact, they become part of the same system.

Quantum Desire unfolds through movement, music, and both scientific and poetic texts: “Desire, my love, what is it you long for? Desire begins in our bodies and ripples out into space”. As the characters sweep through, the audience will be drawn into the kaleidoscope of quantum desire. Each character will assert his or her commitment to forging new relationships and systems as waves of desire wash over them.

Written and directed by Artistic Director, Giulio Cesare Perrone, Quantum Desire explores the complexity, levity and fun of romance and relationships.
