Curious Incident Meet the Cast Gallert
Henry Alper (Christopher) is ecstatic to be making his Pear Avenue debut! He is a Bay Area local currently pursuing a degree in performance. Previous credits include Hamlet (Pale Fire Theater), The Man Who Came to Dinner (Palo Alto Players), and Holidays With a Twist (PianoFight).
Melissa Jones (Judy) is excited to return to the Pear, having previously played Marta in Sojourn. Credits elsewhere include The White Snake (title role), Hamlet (Gertrude), Comedy of Errors (Dromio of Syracuse, TBA Finalist), and Othello (Emilia) at Silicon Valley Shakespeare; The Revolutionists (Charlotte) at Dragon; Into the Woods (Cinderella’s mom and others) at Los Altos Stage; Tigers Be Still (Sherry) at City Lights; and How to Succeed (Miss Jones) and Flower Drum Song (Helen) at WVLO. Melissa also moonlights as a makeup designer and works as SVS’ Education Director and Development Manager.
Peter Ray Juarez (Ed) is very excited to be making his return to The Pear Theatre where he last appeared as Henry in Northanger Abbey. Selected credits include: Henry VIII in Anne of The Thousand Days at Dragon Productions Theatre Company, Tom Snout in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Livermore Shakespeare Festival, and Betty/Edward in Cloud 9 at The Western Stage. He earned an MA in Theatre Arts from San Jose State University and holds a BA in Theatre Arts from California State University, Chico.
Mae Linh Fatum (Siobanh) is ecstatic to be making her debut at the Pear. Prior to this she has participated in many productions with Pacifica Spindrift Players (PSP), her favorite being Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest. She has also appeared in some Woodside Community productions as an ensemble member. Currently, she is the company manager and rental coordinator at Dragon Theatre in Redwood City.
Doll Piccotto (Voice 1) last appeared at the Pear as Queen Elizabeth I in The Beard of Avon. An avid Shakespeare fan, she was also seen at the Pear as Caliban in the Tempest, at City Lights as Oberon in Midsummer Night's Dream, and in many other roles with Silicon Valley Shakespeare, where she also serves as the resident dramaturg. Her next projects include directing Measure for Measure for SV Shakes this summer, as well as writing and appearing in their spring fundraiser piece, Ms. Cast.
David Boyll (Voice 2), returned to the stage in 2017 after a 30- year hiatus to “deliver a full load of crazy” as Bernard B. O’Hare in the world premiere of Kurt Vonnegut’s Mother Night at Custom Made. This summer, he will play the lead role in Shotgun's production of "Quack." Helena G. Clarkson (Voice 3), last seen at the Pear in Pygmalion, recently performed at the Dragon in Anne of the 1000 Days, Dr. Rowan, the Demon and Love for Stage to Screen, and in Cinderella at Foothill Musical Theater. She has performed at many of the local Bay Area theatres including City Lights, Tabard, Santa Clara Players, and Renegade. She received a BA (English and Theatre) from Santa Clara University in 2007.
Ronald Feichtmeir (Voice 4) is happy to return again to the Pear Theatre. He was last seen here in A Millionth Production of a Christmas Carol. A Bay Area Native, he has been acting in local theatres for the past 8 years. Other favorite roles include Estragon in Waiting for Godot (Dragon in Redwood City) and the Mechanic, in Middle Town, at Los Altos Stage.
Ellie Schwartz (Voice 5) is thrilled to appear on the Pear stage after assistant stage managing several productions as well as performing in the Pear's Northanger Abbey youth production. Past roles include Iris (The Nether) at Dragon, Fleance (Macbeth) and Mustardseed (Midsummer Night's Dream) at Silicon Valley Shakespeare, and Betty Parris (The Crucible) at Los Altos Stage.
Josie Burgin Lawson (Voice 6) is so excited to be part of this production and to be working at Pear Theatre for the first time! Other Bay Area productions include Macbeth, Much Ado, and Julius Caesar (at SVS); Spring Awakening (SCP); Oklahoma (Altarena Playhouse); All the Way (Palo Alto Players); and multiple characters in A Christmas Carol (Northside).
